Scones - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 to 1 3/4 c. self-rising flour
4 Tbsp. softened butter
scant 1/3 c. sugar
1/2 c. milk
pinch of salt
Preparation

Set oven at 425\u00b0.
Put flour and salt in bowl.
Add butter; cut into pieces.
Rub butter and flour together with your fingertips until mixture looks like bread crumbs.
Stir in sugar. Press and squeeze the dough together with your hands until a firm ball is formed.
Gently roll out the dough until it is 3/4-inch thick.
Cut out shapes with cookie cutters dipped in flour.
Put Scones on greased cookie sheet and brush with milk.
Bake 12 to 15 minutes until risen.
