Crumb Coffee Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
2 c. brown sugar
2 c. flour
1 c. walnuts or pecans, chopped
1 c. milk
1 egg
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Mix the first 4 ingredients together until crumbly.
Save 1 cup for crumb topping.
Add remaining ingredients.
Bake in a 9 x 9-inch pan at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
