Caramel Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 egg yolks
1 1/2 c. milk
1 1/4 c. granulated sugar
1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1 Tbsp. butter
1 baked pie shell
meringue topping
Preparation

Brown (caramelize) 1 cup sugar in heavy iron skillet over medium heat.
Shake skillet to move the sugar around until it is bubbly and caramel colored.
Combine beaten egg yolks and milk. Combine 1/4 cup sugar and flour and add to milk and eggs.
Pour mixture into skillet with caramelized sugar.
Cook until thick, stirring constantly.
Add vanilla and butter.
Pour into pie shell. Spread meringue on hot filling, sealing well to edges of the crust. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes until golden brown.
