Date Balls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. chopped dates
    1 stick butter or margarine
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 c. chopped pecans
    2 c. Rice Krispies
Preparation
    Mix dates, sugar, egg and butter.
    Cook on low heat, 7 to 10 minutes, until thickened.
    Remove from heat; add nuts and Rice Krispies.
    Let cool just enough to make into small balls.
    Roll balls in powdered sugar or coconut.
