Cherry Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. shortening
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 egg
    1/2 c. milk
    2 c. sifted flour
    2 Tbsp. baking powder
    2 c. cherries, fresh or canned
Preparation
    Beat
    sugar, egg and shortening until light.
    Add milk, flour and baking powder.\tAdd cherries.
    Bake in a greased 8 x 10-inch pan
    for
    30 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Serve, while warm, with whipped cream or ice cream.
