Poppy Seed Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    4 egg yolks
    4 egg whites, stiffly beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/3 c. poppy seed
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    8 oz. sour cream
Preparation
    Cream butter, sugar and egg yolks.
    Add vanilla and poppy seed.
    Add flour, baking soda, salt and sour cream.
    Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
    Pour into 3 greased and floured layer pans or an angel food cake pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes. Frost with powdered sugar and cream cheese icing.
