Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. granulated sugar
    1 c. light Karo syrup
    1/2 c. water
    3 c. raw peanuts
    3 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    In saucepan, combine sugar, syrup and water.
    Boil until mixture forms a thread about 6-inches long or reaches 250\u00b0 on a candy thermometer.
    Add peanuts.
    Stir continuously until caramel color.
    Remove from stove.
    Add butter, salt and soda.
    Pour on buttered board to cool.
    Break into pieces.
