Hot Garlic Dill Pickles - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 qt. water
1 qt. vinegar
2/3 c. pickling salt
2 1/2 to 3-inch pickling cucumbers
1 hot pepper per jar
1 clove garlic per jar
1 head dill per jar
Preparation

Combine the first 3 ingredients; bring to a boil.
Pack cucumbers into hot jars with pepper, garlic and dill.
Pour mixture into jars, leaving 1/2-inch headspace.
The mixture will fill about 6 jars.
Place lids and bands on jars.
Place jars in boiling water.
When water returns to boil, begin timing for 10 minutes.
Remove jars; allow to cool.
