Bourbon Street Pecan Cake With Praline Glaze - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. bourbon
    1 c. currants
    3/4 c. plain flour, sifted
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1 c. butter
    2 1/4 c. sugar
    5 eggs
    1 c. buttermilk
    2 c. pecans
Preparation
    Soak currants in bourbon.
    Beat butter, sugar and eggs for 5 minutes.
    Mix dry ingredients and add to butter.
    Mix alternately with buttermilk.
    Stir in currants, bourbon and finely chopped pecans.
    Bake in greased and floured tube pan 1 hour and 15 minutes at 325\u00b0.
    Cool and glaze.
