Okra Fritters - cooking recipe

1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen cut okra
1 c. self-rising flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. minced onion
1 tsp. melted butter
1/2 c. evaporated milk
1/2 c. salad oil
1/8 tsp. pepper
2 eggs, beaten
Preparation

Cook frozen okra according to package directions; drain. Combine dry ingredients; stir in eggs, onion, butter and milk. Fold okra into batter.
Drop by teaspoonfuls into oil at 375\u00b0 for 2 minutes until browned.
Yields 1 dozen.
