Ingredients

1 extra large onion
1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. beer
1 egg, beaten
1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
oil for frying
Preparation

Combine dry ingredients, beer, egg and 1 tablespoon oil in blender.
Process until smooth.
Pour into a shallow pan.
Remove skin and slice onion about 1/2-inch thick.
Separate rings.
Dip onion rings in batter; coat well.
Fry in oil at 375\u00b0 until brown. Drain well on paper towels.
