Aunt Marsha'S Peach Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. fresh peaches, sliced
    1 3/4 to 2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. almond extract
    6 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    3/4 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. milk
Preparation
    Mix peaches with half the sugar, depending on sweetness of peaches.
    Add almond flavoring and let stand.
    Put butter in a 2-quart Pyrex dish and place in a low oven to melt.
