Favorite Fried Onion Rings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 extra-large onion or 3 large onions
    about 1 qt. water
    1 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. salt
    2 eggs
    2/3 c. milk
    1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    vegetable oil
Preparation
    Peel onions; cut into 1/2-inch slices and separate into rings. Place rings in a large bowl of water; refrigerate 30 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
