Basic Pancakes - cooking recipe

    1 3/4 c. flour
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    1 pinch salt
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    2 c. milk
    3 eggs, separated
    6 Tbsp. butter, melted
    1 pinch cream of tartar (optional)
    butter for topping
    maple syrup for topping
Preparation
    Sift together flour, baking powder, salt and sugar into a medium bowl.
    Make a well in center of mixture.
    In another bowl, combine milk, egg yolks and melted butter.
    Pour into well in flour mixture.
    Stir until smooth and creamy.
    This can also be done in a blender or food processor, but don't overwork or batter will be tough.
