1 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
3 c. self-rising flour
4 eggs
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 fresh coconut
1 pt. whipping cream
Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar; add alternately milk and flour. Add vanilla.
Bake in three 9-inch layer pans in a 350\u00b0 oven for 25 minutes.
Dribble coconut milk over layers.
Cover with whipped cream and fresh coconut.
