Potato Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    white potatoes
    1 onion, chopped
    1/2 stick butter, cut into pieces
    salt and pepper, to taste
    8 oz. sour cream
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    Cheddar cheese, to sprinkle over top
Preparation
    Peel and slice potatoes, enough to cover the bottom half of your baking dish.
    Cover the potatoes with the chopped onion and pieces of butter.
    Add salt and pepper.
    In a separate bowl, mix the sour cream and soup.
    Pour mixture over potatoes.
    Sprinkle Cheddar cheese over top of casserole and bake (covered) for one hour.
    Bake uncovered for the last 5-10 minutes.
