Corn Bread Or Corn Pone - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. white corn meal
    1 c. sugar
    2 tsp. salt
    1 c. milk
    2 eggs
    5 c. hot water
    1/2 lb. margarine
Preparation
    Put dry ingredients in pot. Add hot water first, then remaining ingredients. Cook on top of stove until slightly thinned.
    Pour into greased 9 x 12-inch aluminum pan. Cook at 350\u00b0 until brown.
