Mary'S Coffee Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2/3 c. shortening
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. buttermilk
2 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/3 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
chopped nuts
1/2 lb. butter

Preparation

Mix first 4 ingredients.
Then add next 7 ingredients.
Pour in buttered baking pan.
Sprinkle with topping (next 3 ingredients). Cover with chopped nuts and dot with 1/2 pound butter.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 45 minutes until top springs back.
