Turtle Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box German chocolate cake mix
    1 (14 oz.) bag caramels
    1/2 c. evaporated milk
    3/4 c. butter
    1 c. pecans, chopped
    1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preparation
    Mix cake mix per instructions.
    Pour 1/2 of batter into a greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
    Bake 15 minutes at 350\u00b0. Meanwhile, melt caramels in evaporated milk and butter over low heat.
    After cake has baked for 15 minutes, then pour caramel mixture over top.
