Seven-Up Pound Cake - cooking recipe

2 sticks margarine (1 c.)
3 c. white sugar
5 large eggs
1/2 c. Crisco
3 c. sifted flour
7 oz. 7-Up
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Grease and flour a large tube or Bundt pan.
Cream sugar, margarine and Crisco with 2 eggs (cream well together).
Add remaining eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add flour to mixture, alternating with 7-Up.
Add the vanilla. Bake in preheated oven at 325\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours.
Place oven rack in lower position as cake will not bake properly if rack is in center of oven.
When done allow cake to cool for 10 minutes, then remove from pan.
