Bread And Butter Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    16 c. peeled pickles
    6 c. sugar
    5 c. vinegar
    2 tsp. turmeric
    8 c. onions
    3 Tbsp. salt
    dash of pepper
Preparation
    Mix in kettle and bring to a boil.
    Add 16 cups of sliced, peeled pickles (sliced very thin).
    Add 8 cups onions (sliced very thin).
    Bring to a boil and put in canning jars.
