Franklin Nut Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. butter
2 c. sugar
6 eggs
4 c. plain flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
6 oz. candied cherries
6 oz. candied pineapple
1 lb. pecans
2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar.
Add beaten eggs, then 3 cups of flour, sifted with baking powder and salt.
Mix remaining flour with cherries, pineapple and broken pecans.
Stir into batter. Add vanilla. Pour into greased tube cake pan that has been lined with brown paper.
Bake at 250\u00b0 for 3 hours.
Let cool in pan before you take it up.
