Fresh Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 qt. fresh strawberries
1/2 c. water
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. cornstarch
1/8 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. red food coloring
1 c. whipping cream
1 baked 9-inch pastry shell

Preparation

Wash and stem strawberries.
Cover bottom of baked pastry shell with one-half of choicest berries.
Heat remaining berries in water until berries are soft, 4 to 5 minutes on High.
