Spice Snaps - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    3/4 c. shortening
    1/4 c. molasses
    1 egg (unbeaten)
    2 c. flour, sifted
    2 tsp. baking soda
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. cloves, ground
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Mix sugar and shortening. Add egg and molasses. Then blend in dry ingredients. Dough will be stiff. Take size of a walnut, roll into a ball. Roll in granulated sugar. Bake 10 to 12 minutes at 350\u00b0. Makes about 6 dozen.
