Ingredients

4 eggs
1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
1/2 c. water
1 tsp. each: oregano and basil
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
8 slices white bread, divided
1 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese, divided (4 oz.)
2 Tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
Preparation

In medium bowl with fork or whisk, beat eggs just until blended.
Beat in tomato sauce, water, oregano, basil, salt and garlic powder; set aside.
In greased 8 or 9-inch square baking dish, arrange 4 slices of bread.
Evenly pour on half the tomato mixture.
Sprinkle with half the Mozzarella.
Repeat layers; sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
Cover; let stand at least 1 hour or refrigerate overnight.
Bake in preheated oven at 350\u00b0 for 45 to 55 minutes, until puffed and browned.
Serve immediately.
