Snickers Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box German chocolate cake mix
    1 lb. caramels
    1 stick (1/2 c.) butter
    1/3 c. milk
    1 c. chopped pecans
    3/4 c. chocolate chips
    whipped cream
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Prepare cake mix according to package directions.
    Pour 1/2 of the batter into a 13 x 9-inch greased and floured pan, reserving the rest.
    Bake for 20 minutes.
    Melt caramels.
    Add margarine and milk; stir to blend.
    Pour caramel mixture over the baked cake.
    Sprinkle with pecans and chocolate chips.
    Spoon the reserved cake batter over all.
    Reduce oven to 250\u00b0 and bake cake for 20 minutes.
    Return oven temperature to 350\u00b0 and bake and additional 10 to 15 minutes.
    Serve with whipped cream.
