Chocolate Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
4 Tbsp. flour
2 Tbsp. cocoa
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. milk
3 egg yolks
2 Tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Mix flour, sugar, cocoa and salt.
Beat egg yolks; add milk and vanilla.
Stir into first mixture.
Add butter.
Cook over medium-high heat until mixture thickens and begins to boil.
Pour into a baked pie shell.
Beat egg whites (gradually add 1/3 cup of sugar and 1/8 teaspoon cream of tartar).
Beat mixture until stiff.
Pile whites on pie.
Spread and seal edges.
Bake until lightly browned.
