Pasta Fagioli Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. sauteed lean beef
    1 potato, cut in 1/2-inch pieces
    2 large carrots, diced
    1 medium red onion, chopped
    2 tsp. minced garlic
    2 (16 oz.) cans red beans
    2 (16 oz.) cans chicken broth
    1 1/2 c. water
    8 oz. dried ditalini or tubetti or elbow pasta or small shells
    1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
    pepper
    1/4 tsp. oregano
    1/4 tsp. basil
Preparation
    Saute ground beef.
    Drain.
    Add everything else and simmer until tender.
    Add pasta; cook approximately 15 minutes or until pasta is done.
    Recipe makes 5 (2-cup) servings.
