Chicken And Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 or 3 lb. chicken
    1 can cream of chicken soup
    3 c. self-rising flour
    1 egg
Preparation
    Add enough warm broth or water to make stiff dough of flour and egg mixture.
    Work out very thin.
    Cut into narrow strips. Let stand 2 or 3 hours or overnight.
    Cook chicken until tender. Remove skin and bones.
    Put chicken in broth.
    Add soup; bring to a boil.
    Add dumpling strips a few at a time.
    Boil after each addition.
    Simmer until dumplings are done.
    If too dry, add water or chicken soup to broth.
