Saucepan Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 sq. unsweetened chocolate
    2/3 c. shortening
    2 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. vanilla
    4 eggs
    1 c. nuts
Preparation
    Melt chocolate and shortening in saucepan.
    Let cool for a few minutes.
    Add sugar and mix well.
    Then add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.
    Sift flour and salt together and add to chocolate mixture, 1/3 at a time.
    Add nuts and vanilla.
    Grease and flour a 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes.
