Herring 'N Sour Cream - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (8 to 16 oz.) jar herring in wine sauce
    1/4 c. mayonnaise
    1/2 pt. sour cream
    juice of 1/2 lemon
    1/2 green pepper, chopped
    1 tsp. celery seed
    1 tsp. sugar
    4 green onions and tops, sliced
Preparation
    Rinse and drain herring.
    Combine all ingredients.
    Marinate for up to 3 weeks in refrigerator.
    Serve with crackers.
    Makes 2 to 3 cups.
