Daddy'S Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. flour
1 c. cornmeal
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 egg, beaten
1 1/4 c. milk
1 tsp. sugar (optional)
1 Tbsp. bacon grease

Preparation

Put 1
tablespoon
bacon grease in iron skillet and put in oven
to
heat.
Turn
oven on to 425\u00b0.
(Heating pan first keeps the
cornbread
from
sticking.)
Mix
all\tingredients together: flour, cornmeal, salt, baking powder, egg, milk and sugar.\tStir lightly and pour in greased pan in oven.
Cook 20 to 25 minutes.
