Layered Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 head lettuce
1/2 c. sliced onion
1 c. sliced celery
1 can drained, sliced water chestnuts
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1 (10 oz.) can green peas
2 c. mayonnaise
2 tsp. sugar
1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
3 hard-boiled eggs, chopped
1/2 lb. crumbled fried bacon
Preparation

In a 4-quart dish, shred lettuce.
Top with onion, celery, chestnuts and drained peas.
Spread mayonnaise over.
Sprinkle with sugar, cheese, salt and garlic.
Cover and chill up to 24 hours. Before serving, sprinkle with eggs and bacon.
