Christmas Snack Crunch - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter or oleo
    1/3 c. sugar
    1/3 c. apricot preserves
    2 c. oats (quick or old-fashioned), uncooked
    1 c. chopped dried apricots
    3/4 c. coarsely chopped pecans
Preparation
    Combine butter, sugar and preserves in a 3-quart saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until well blended and smooth.
    Remove from heat.
    Add remaining ingredients mixing until dry ingredients are coated.
    Spread mixture evenly into ungreased 13 x 9-inch baking pan.
    Bake in preheated oven at 325\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes or until golden brown, stirring occasionally. Spread mixture onto ungreased cookie sheet.
    Cool.
    Break into bite sized pieces.
    Store in tightly covered container in cool dry place. Yields 6 cups.
