Sponge Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 eggs (5 if extra large)
1/2 c. cold water
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. flour
pinch of salt
Preparation

Separate eggs.
Beat egg whites and salt until stiff.
Beat egg yolks, water, sugar, vanilla and flour until a good sponge forms (about 4 minutes at medium speed).
Fold in whites at low speed. Bake in an ungreased tube pan at 350\u00b0 for 50 minutes.
Invert pan about 20 minutes before removing cake.
Cover with powdered sugar.
