Poppy Seed Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. poppy seed
    1 c. milk
    3/4 c. butter
    4 eggs, separated
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 c. flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    2 tsp. vanilla
    pinch of salt
Preparation
    Soak poppy seed in milk overnight.
    Cream butter and sugar. Add poppy seed and milk, then flour and vanilla last.
    Beat 3 minutes and fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
    Bake in 3 layers in a 375\u00b0 oven for 25 to 30 minutes.
