Ingredients

2 eggs
2 c. brown sugar
1 c. sour milk
1 rounded tsp. baking soda
1 c. lard
4 c. flour
nuts or raisins (may be added)
Preparation

Mix lard and sugar, then add eggs to the sour milk; add the soda and stir.
Then add to the sugar mixture and then the flour. Just add enough flour so that you can handle dough.
(I never roll out the dough.
I pat it out and use cookie cutter.)
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
These are better when left kinda thick.
