Apple Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. peeled, sliced baking apples
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/8 tsp. nutmeg
    1 1/2 tsp. almond extract
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 1/2 c.flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    2/3 c.milk
    1/2 c. raisins (optional)
Preparation
    Place apples in a 1 1/2-quart baking dish.
    Sprinkle with 1/2 cup sugar, 1/4 cup brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and almond extract.
    Dot with 2 tablespoons butter.
    Mix flour, baking powder, 1/4 cup sugar, 1/4 cup brown sugar and salt into a mixing bowl. Cut in 1/4 cup butter until the mixture is slightly coarser than cornmeal.
    Combine egg and milk, pour over the dry ingredients, stir just enough to combine and spoon it over the apples in the baking dish.
