Overnight French Toast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 sticks butter or margarine
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    large loaf white bread
    6 eggs, beaten
    2 c. milk
    cinnamon to taste
    vanilla to taste
    maple syrup
Preparation
    Melt butter in 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Add brown sugar and mix.
    Put bread in pan in three layers.
    Do not use crust.
