Southwestern Pasta Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 medium onions, sliced
    1 garlic clove, minced
    1/4 c. olive oil
    1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes, crushed or coarsely chopped
    3/4 tsp. pepper sauce
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 to 3 Tbsp. fresh cilantro, minced
    1/4 tsp. sugar
    12 oz. angel hair pasta, freshly cooked
Preparation
    Heat oil over medium heat in large, heavy, non-aluminum saucepan.
    Stir in onion and garlic; cook for 10 to 12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender.
    Add tomatoes, pepper sauce, salt, cilantro and sugar.
    Bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat to low and simmer, uncovered, for 30 minutes or until slightly thickened. Place hot, cooked pasta on heated serving platter.
    Top with sauce.
    Makes 4 servings.
