Lemon Sponge Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    juice and grated rind of 1 lemon or lemon flavoring
    1 c. sugar
    3 Tbsp. flour
    3 eggs, separated
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 1/2 c. hot water
    1 (9-inch) pie shell
Preparation
    Cream butter; add sugar, flour and egg yolks.
    Beat well.
    Add hot water, salt and lemon rind and juice.
    Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
    Pour into a 9-inch pie shell and bake 45 minutes at 325\u00b0.
