Caramel Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar, browned
    3 egg yolks, beaten
    1 c. water
    1 Tbsp. vanilla extract
    2 c. hot milk
    4 Tbsp. (heaping) flour
    butter (walnut size)
    3 egg whites
    6 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation
    Brown 1 cup sugar.
    Slowly add hot milk.
    Let simmer until all of the sugar dissolves.
    Mix water, flour and butter.
    Add to liquid slowly.
    Add egg yolks last.
    When mixture is thick, remove from stove and add vanilla.
    Pour into crust.
    Beat egg whites and 6 tablespoons sugar until stiff.
    Spread on top of pie.
