Cruzan Coons - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. butter
    2 c. four
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. pecans, finely chopped
    1/3 c. confectioners sugar
    2 tsp. ice water
Preparation
    Cream the butter until fluffy.
    Sift in the flour and sugar. Stir in the vanilla and ice water and last of all, the chopped pecans.
    Make 2 rolls; wrap in buttered foil and freeze for 2 hours.
    Slice off thin slices of dough.
    Shape in an oval roll, like a cocoon and bake in a slow oven at 250\u00b0 until lightly browned.
    After they cool, roll in confectioners sugar and store in airtight container.
