Scotch Scones - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk
2 Tbsp. sugar
3 Tbsp. shortening
2 eggs
Preparation

Sift together flour, baking powder, salt and sugar.
Add shortening and mix in very lightly.
Beat eggs and add milk.
Pour slowly into flour mixture.
Roll out 1/2-inch thick on floured board.
Cut into 2-inch squares and fold over into 3-cornered pieces.
Place in greased baking pan and brush with milk.
Dust with sugar.
Bake 20 minutes in hot oven.
