Earl Stones Sliced Sweet Potato Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 large sweet potatoes
    1 c. sugar
    juice and rind of 2 lemons
    1 c. boiling water from potatoes
    1 tsp. each: nutmeg, cinnamon and allspice
    1/2 c. butter
Preparation
    Peel, slice crosswise and boil potatoes until tender. Put them in a deep pie plate lined with pastry dough. Put a sauce over potatoes made of remaining ingredients. Cover with dough and bake in slow oven.
