Cranberry Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. fresh or frozen cranberries, coarsely chopped
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    1 Tbsp. grated orange peel
    2 c. flour
    1 c. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    3/4 c. orange juice
    1 egg, well beaten
Preparation
    Mix cranberries, nuts and orange peel.
    Set aside.
    Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and soda.
    Cut in shortening. Stir in orange juice and egg.
    Fold in cranberry mixture.
    Put in well-greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 60 minutes or until inserted knife comes out clean.
    Cool for 15 minutes and remove from pan.
    Can be stored in the freezer.
