Sweet-N-Sour Shrimp - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. green pepper, chopped
1 c. bias-cut celery
1/2 c. onion, chopped
1/4 c. cooking oil
1/4 c. flour
1 1/2 c. tomato juice
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. lemon juice and grated rind of 1 lemon
1 lb. shrimp, cooked, shelled and deveined
Preparation

Saute pepper, celery and onion in oil until tender.
Sprinkle flour over mixture; stir rapidly to keep smooth.
Pour tomato juice over mixture; continue stirring until thickened a bit.
Add sugar, stirring constantly, then lemon juice and rind.
Reduce heat to warm and add shrimp.
Let set for an hour or so while flavors blend.
