Crumb Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 egg
2 Tbsp. molasses
1 c. sour milk or buttermilk
1 tsp. soda, dissolved in milk
3/4 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 c. flour
dash of salt

Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar together.
Add other ingredients one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
Bake in loaf or in cupcakes.
