Peanut Pattie - cooking recipe

Ingredients

3 c. sugar
1 c. cold water
1 c. white Karo
2 c. raw peanuts
1/4 tsp. red food coloring
1/2 stick margarine

Preparation

Bring to boil on medium heat sugar, water and syrup.
When that boils, add peanuts and coloring.
Cook until soft ball stage. Remove from heat; add butter.
Beat until mixture is too thick to beat.
Pour on greased cookie sheet.
Break into pieces when cool.
