Red Velvet Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 oz. red food coloring
3 Tbsp. Nestle cocoa
1/2 c. Crisco shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/4 c. cake flour
1 tsp. salt
1 c. buttermilk
1 Tbsp. vinegar
1 tsp. baking soda
Preparation

Mix coloring and cocoa and let stand.
Beat sugar and Crisco well.
Add eggs 1 at a time, add color, cocoa and vanilla; beat well again.
Gradually add flour and salt and beat.
Add buttermilk and beat.
Add vinegar and soda; beat.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes in prepared pan.
